Microsoft Competes with LAMP?
November 10, 2008 at 3:03 pm | Posted in Uncategorized | Leave a CommenteWeek today covered Microsoft’s new program BizSpark, which basically now “gives away” tools and other software to small businesses (under $1M in revenues, less than 3 years of operations, privately funded), ostensibly to help them grow. Of course, this move probably has a lot to do with competing with open source stack LAMP, among others, and ensuring that cost-sensitive small businesses turn into reliable Microsoft customers.
