Twitter Stats Tell Story Different from Hype – Harvard Study

” However, the Harvard team found that more than half of all people using Twitter updated their page less than once every 74 days.

And most people only ever “tweet” once during their lifetime, the researchers found.” (BBC News, June 9, 2009)

This certainly won’t be the end of Twitter, but it does provide some much needed perspective on the service – without a doubt, the new landscape of which internet apps most people find actually valuable (and whether they actually exist yet) is still being defined.
