In previous posts, I’ve been blatant about liking the MoGo device. But I had two problems: first, the case was prone to cracking and breaking after repeated use (the charging port and device holder in particular), and second, quality of sound has been a bit of an issue.
More importantly, although I’d contacted the company, I hadn’t heard a real response. Until recently, when a company named ID8 contacted me to let me know they had acquired the brand and would be providing service, that is.
Today I received a replacement case, which turns me happy from disgruntled. Old, broken case in garbage, new shiny case in place.
From the letter they sent, the improvements made to the case include “a new retention clip to improve the holding and release of the headset…[new] internal wiring for the charging system…[a] soft liner to protect the finish of the iPhone.”
And they extended my warranty two years.
Now, with the iPhone 4 coming out soon, and this case becoming obsolete, it has occurred to me that this is only going to help me for so long. However, it certainly is making me consider buying the device again for the iPhone 4.
Nice turnaround, ID8.
