After a successful first #swCT (Social Web Week Connecticut) a couple of weeks ago, New Haven social media enthusiasts announced another first – the first #pcct (PodCamp Connecticut).
The PodCamp, an UnConference format, will be a single day event on Saturday, October 16, from 8am to 5pm at the Cooperative Arts & Humanities Interdistrict Magnet School on 177 College Street, in New Haven, Connecticut.
The theme for Connecticut’s PodCamp is “connecting where we live, learn, work, and play.” It should be a productive conference for anyone who uses, or should use, social media daily; for example, for entrepreneurs and small business people who are grappling with how best to use social media as a tool to grow their business. The UnConference format is designed to cut out the bull that accompanies the typical conference, and focus on the most engaging, important issues. As the organizers put it “Are you ready to share your ideas, thoughts, questions, angst and excitement about social media with some new and familiar faces?”
Well, we know we are! We’ll see you there.
